Final Milestone
Going into Project and Portfolio II I
was excited and on edge on overcoming the mechanics in animation.
Still a lot I need to digest in the overall knowledge of it, but I'm having fun
doing it at the same time. This month was filled with challenges I looked
to accomplish, but failed more times than I succeeded. This was actually a
good thing for me. The more times I fail in working on a project the better I
chance I come out with more experience in what to do better in the
future. I struggled in the beginning with find good poses.
First starting
the project the ant character was seating down in the bar. I changed it because
It was a struggle to get right positions and poses I wanted to flow with the
walk. I learned that a good reference is key in making a good
animation. It helps one breakdown good poses and see where the negative space
of character should look like. In the beginning working on the project I had a
clear idea on what I wanted to do after seeing the scene I chosen. I thought it
be fun to see an Ant leave a bar slightly intoxicated.
If I had to change anything different I would
probably go back to the original idea and have the ant seating at the bar first
messing with drinking. Then a slight stumble getting up, look to the bartender,
say goodbye and be on his merry way. I will actually go back and do that on my
spare time. Next I will have the proper poses and movement for it will flow better
than before. Also if I could start over, I would give the bartender a little
bit more action towards the ant. Just to give more chemistry among the
characters.
